Testing Scenarios

1) blank slate

- goal: record your first impressions
    - start a new medium sized game
- record what you do, and any issues you have
    - what are your instincts on how to interact?
    - how intuitive is the interface?
    - how intuitive are the controls?

2) protect the species

- goal: do not let the two species go extinct
    - start a new medium sized game
    - propagate 3+ members of each species
    - separate the different bugs since they do not reproduce near others, 
  bugs with better perception need more space
    - farm fungi as food for bugs, some fungi grow better near the water
    - build a fence to help separate the species
- too easy?
    - propagate 5 generations of each species
- record what you do, and any issues you have
    - what are your instincts on how to interact?
    - how intuitive is the interface?
    - how intuitive are the controls?

3) build some of everything

- goal: build some of everything
    - start a new medium sized game
    - build 10+ of every wall/floor/pool
        - destroy everything you created
    - build some buildings
        - use brick walls, windows, floors, pools, fences
    - build some crates, 
        - place them somewhere
        - store items in them
        - move them
        - remove items from them
        - destroy them
    - dig some rivers
    - build one of every tool
        - use each tool

    - how intuitive is the interface?
    - how intuitive are the controls?

4) kill all zombies

- goal: kill all zombies
    - start a new large sized game
    - build an Axe
    - attack and kill zombies
    - build a FireAxe (red axe)
    - attack and kill zombies
    - attack and kill zombies with other tools
- known bug: if you die, the dialog that pops up with "restart from last save"
is old and does not work, just reload the game
- record what you do, and any issues you have

5) farm fungi

- goal1: choose two interesting fungi and propagate them
    - start a new medium sized game
- goal2: evolve a bright red fungus
    - continue your game
    - weed out all fungi in a small area except for those that are closest in color to red
    - harvest the surviving fungi and re-plant them
    - repeat this until you have a red fungus
    - you may have to try different locations, near water, far from water, etc.
- goal3: collect many species of fungi
    - continue your game
    - pick a bunch of fungi
    - store them in your inventory
    - store them on the ground
    - store them in a crate

    - how intuitive are the controls?

6) customize your avatar

- goal: customize your avatar
    - start a new medium sized game
    - completely change your avatar body
    - completely change your avatar colors
    - repeat

    - how intuitive are the controls?

7) save and restore

- goal: save and restore three different games
    - start a new medium sized game
    - play for a bit, customize the avatar and world enough that you would recognize it again
    - save the game
    - start an new game (from the toolbar "globe" menu)
    - play for a bit, customize the avatar and world enough that you would recognize it again
    - do not save, reload the page, the previous game should auto save and reload
    - start an new game, save the current one when prompted
    - do not save, reload the page
    - load each saved game, the last one will be titled "autosave"
